COMORBIDITĂȚI PSIHIATRICE ASOCIATE TULBURĂRILOR DIN SPECTRUL AUTIST

Roxana-Monica LUPUŞOR

Abstract

PSYCHIATRIC COMORBIDITIES ASSOCIATED WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER

Children with autism spectrum disorders are characterized not only by their core deficits, impairments in social interaction and communication and repetitive stereotyped behaviors but they also suffer from many comorbid features such as anxiety, depression, ADHD and behavioral problems.

This article reviews the diagnosis of comorbid psychiatric disorders in individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and presents the results of some recent studies.
