Abstract


În lucrare sunt analizate particularităţile de bază ale metodei de învăţare prin investigaţie. Se menţionează că învăţarea prin investigaţie este o pedagogie constructivistă, care, după structura ei, este similară învăţării pe bază de proiect şi învăţării problematizate. Doar atribuind elevului rolul principal în binomul profesor-elev poate fi atins obiectivul de for­mare a conceptului ştiinţific despre lume. Se subliniază că deprinderile de cercetare ştiinţifică, formate în cadrul aplicării permanente a învăţării prin investigaţie, sunt acele deprinderi ce stau la baza învăţării pe tot parcursul vieţii. Deprinderile de interacţiune socială, formate în cadrul lucrului în grup, şi deprinderile de comunicare sunt elemente distinctive ale învă­ţării prin investigaţie. Un alt beneficiu major adus de învăţarea prin investigaţie pentru dezvoltarea pe termen lung a personalităţii elevului este formarea vocabularului ştiinţific activ.

THE PEDAGOGY OF INQUIRY – BASED SCIENCE EDUCATION AND ITS IMPACT ON SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND LIFELONG LEARNING SKILLS

The main features of inquiry – based science education (IBSE) are analyzed in this paper. It is shown that IBSE is a constructivist pedagogy which, according to its structure, is similar to project – based and problem – based learning. It is emphasized that one of the most important goal of education – the formation of the scientific concept about the world – may be reached only if the main role in the binomial “student – teacher” is assigned to the students. It is demonstrated that the scientific research skills, formed within permanent application of IBSE in the classroom, are namely those skills which determine the efficiency of lifelong learning. Social interaction skills built within group work and communicative skills are the distinctive features of IBSE. The formation of active scientific vocabulary is another major benefit of IBSE for long-term development of student’s personality.
