UTILITATEA ŞI RELEVANŢA CERCETĂRII PARTICIPATIVE ÎN INVESTIGAREA FENOMENELOR SOCIALE

Abstract


În acest articol este luată în vizor o nouă paradigmă de cercetare a fenomenelor sociale, care pune accentul pe abor­darea participativă: actorii sociali studiaţi devin membri ai echipelor de cercetare, favorizând cunoaşterea din interior şi aprofundată a problemelor. Cercetarea participativă permite asigurarea autenticităţii, utilităţii şi relevanţei datelor. Astfel, actorul social se transformă din subiect al cercetării în asistent al cercetătorului, care încearcă să închege „puzzle-ul” realităţii în care trăieşte actorul social. În acelaşi timp, cercetarea bazată pe strategii participative implică procese de capacitare a echipelor comunitare. În cadrul articolului sunt analizate pe larg domeniile şi avantajele aplicării strategiei participative în cercetarea fenomenelor sociale, sunt identificate posibilele limite şi particularităţile design-ului cercetării participative, în baza unor exemple concrete.

THE UTILITY AND RELEVANCE OF PARTICIPATORY RESEARCH IN INVESTIGATION OF SOCIAL PHENOMENON

This article presents a new paradigm that emphasizes participatory approach: social actors studied become members of research teams, favoring insider knowledge and in depth of problems. This kind of research allows assurance of the authenticity, usefulness and relevance of data. The social actor turns from research subject to assistant researcher who tries to coagulate "puzzle" of social reality in which lives social actor. At the same time research based on participatory strategies involves community team’s empowerment processes and capacity building. In the article are analyzed in detail the advantages and application areas of participative strategy in researching social phenomena, are identified possible limitations and peculiarities of participatory research design, based on concrete examples.
